City of Redmond Launches $1.5 Million Fund to Help Small Businesses and Non-Profits

Pivot and Recover in Response to COVID-19

Administered By OneRedmond With Support From the City of Redmond
Redmond, Wash. – The City of Redmond partnered with OneRedmond today in announcing the creation of a $1.5 million Redmond Small Business Resiliency Grant Fund to help small businesses and non-profits negatively impacted by COVID-19.
“The City of Redmond is home to a number of unique and diverse small businesses that have supported our local community for years,” said Mayor Angela Birney. “This fund is one way we can help support our small business community during this very difficult time. We value the work they do, and the energy they bring to our City.”
The Redmond Small Business Resiliency Grant Fund will provide grants of up to $10,000 to small businesses and non-profits located in the City of Redmond with no more than 25 Full-Time Equivalent employees who are in need and have been adversely impacted by COVID-19 closures and reduced capacity mandates. Small businesses and non-profits interested in applying can do so now by visiting www.oneredmond.org.
OneRedmond will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 2:30 pm to review the grant application and answer questions regarding the program. To register visit https://tinyurl.com/Redmond-Grant.
“This fund will be critical in helping small businesses and non-profits in Redmond fight to recover from the effects of this pandemic,” said Kristina Hudson, Executive Director of OneRedmond. “Funding is only the beginning. We will also pair our companies with business advisors to assist in their recovery efforts.”
